Breakfast Foods For Dinner And Why

Breakfast for dinner? Are you sure?

Have you ever had a “taste” to eat cereals in the evening?  Did you, or have you listened to that voice inside each of us which tells us to conform. Cereals are for breakfast! What’s wrong with me? Perhaps something is wrong with the “rules?” Who made these rules, anyway…

Why would we want to eat breakfast foods for dinner and feel good despite the “rules?”

Breakfast foods, such as whole grains cereals, breads, or pancakes contain B vitamins and cheese and eggs contain Vitamin B 12 which promotes calm. Citrus fruits contain folates, which are also beneficial..

Foods high in tryptophan and amino acids promote sleep and reduce anxiety.

Here are some of these foods which traditionally are eaten for breakfast: cheese, eggs, milk, nuts, peanut butter.

The only rule, which applies all day long and in the middle of the night if you are a sleep walker which goes directly to the refrigerator, is to avoid simple carbohydrates, such as sugar and eat complex carbohydrates, such as whole grains, which will also increase your levels of seratonin, thus having a calming and beneficial effect.

Next time you feel like eating  eggs and cheese and a site of whole grain pancakes, and a glass of milk, know that breakfast could be for dinner and make you sleep better and feel less anxious.

The rule “after six it sticks,” applies to breakfast foods as well.
